Clear Lake Community Theater Press Release
The Clear Lake Community Theater’s spring presentation
is the musical patriotic tableau, “We the People”, the musical, book by Pat Cook, music and lyrics by Bill Francoeur and published by Pioneer Drama Service, Englewood, Colorado.
A committee is discussing putting on a show for their town, of just what does America mean to them. One person has a copy of the Preamble to the Constitution, and it is decided to use it as the base for their show. Through a series of sketches and songs based on phrase by phrase from the Preamble, we see not only how it applies to our past, but also to our present and future. Our everyday life is showcased in both funny and touching vignettes as well as an eclectic musical score that all become a part of this patchwork quilt of American life. Help to celebrate America with this patriotic tableau. You won’t want to miss it!
